Join My Journey: Fun Facts About Me and a Survey Invitation

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you already know this space.
It’s my creative room, filled with honesty, curiosity, and real life — not polished answers.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a quiet shift.
So I thought I’d share a few fun facts — and a small share.

Fun facts about me ✨

My name is Parisa — which means like an angel in Farsi.
I was born in Iran and later moved to Norway, after living in Istanbul for six months.
I live in Oslo now. I’m 53 years old. And if there’s one thing I can say about myself, it’s that I’m very good at reinventing myself.

I have a background in social work with vulnerable people and in communication.
Listening has been a big part of my life — to others, and to myself.

I run this blog as a space for honest writing, curious questions, and conversations.
These days, I’m also questioning how much space the blog should take. It’s not less important, but a day only has 24 hours. There are many new things I want to create.

I’ve been in movement my whole life. I moved countries from Iran to Norway at the age of 14½. I’ve also moved my body, my ideas, and my sense of home.

I’ve been physically active since I was 18.
Movement is still how I reset, think, and understand life when things feel unclear.

Last year, I embarked on a spiritual quest. It lasted almost a year (from the end of 2024 until October 2025). It was guided by one simple but very grand question:
“Where is home?”

I ended that journey by walking 1,000 km from southern Spain to Santiago de Compostela.
I shaved my head before the walk. I wanted to face the shame. It is a topic I have been working on at the personal level. It was also a way to start fresh.
I wrote every single day.
Those writings are now becoming a book.

The photo I shared tells that story.
One side is from the beginning, taken in an ashram in India.
The other is from the end, after the walk.
Same person. Very different place.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Culture and Society. I also have training in dance and movement therapy. I’ve studied how music and the voice support health and calm the nervous system. I’m certified in NLP (Level I & II).

If I put together everything I’ve studied, it would add up to PhD-level years. But I’ve simply followed my curiosity. I’ve pursued my passions and interests.

I haven’t had a permanent job since May 2017.
Since then, I’ve moved in and out of many places. I have mostly worked as a substitute teacher. This has been across different schools and age groups.

Over the years, the feeling of wanting to create something of my own has grown stronger.
And now, I feel ready. Ready for a new phase.

A small invitation 🤍

Because of this shift, I’ve created a short survey.

Not to analyze or fix anyone — but to listen.

I’m curious about how you experience your body, energy, and everyday life right now.
What supports you.
What drains you.
What helps you feel even a little more present or alive.

I also want to share that asking people to fill out this survey is outside my comfort zone. It feels like a real challenge, but I’m doing it and hoping to get as many answers as possible.

🌀 The survey is short and simple.
There are no right or wrong answers.
You can answer in your own words.

🎁 Complete this →survey ←by Wednesday, 21st at midnight (or Thursday morning).
One person will be chosen to get a gift from me.

I’m deeply grateful if you also share the survey with the people in your network. Please share it with anyone you feel it resonate with.

Thank you in advance for your time, and your support. It is truly appreciated.
