“You can hear honesty from kids and drunken people,” is a Persian saying, and if there is anything I value most in life, honesty is one of them. For me, it is so important to be honest with myself and others. It is not always easy in practice. It takes courage, strength, and the road there can be bumpy and demanding, but the depth of it spices up life, and that again creates movement in me. Yes, for me, the essence of life is changes and progress.
With honesty, movement, a good dose of self-irony, and humor, life can turn into a Kaleidoscope.
I assume that’s why I fell in love with this video that I share with you in this blog post.
Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of Cher. Until one day, when I saw an interview with her. I do not remember the name of the show, who interviewed her, and who was the other guest, but what I do remember the question Cher got and her answer.
“How is it to grow old?”
“It sucks!” she replied rapidly without even thinking.
Her sense of humor on the severe topic of age and her honestly suddenly made me see her in a different light than I had done before. I guess if it were not because of that interview, I would have never spent time watching the one I shared with you here— a funny, sweet video from 1975, with Cher and her daughter.
Fast it forward until 2.25, that is where the real show starts.
Incidentally, what would you do if you had your TV show? How would that be, and about what? Honestly!
PS. By the way, I have updated this week’s music list.
