Belief is essential

An interview about how life can change after being diagnosed with the worst imagined disease

I met Lars on New Year’s Eve in 2016 at a former colleague’s 60th birthday party. Lars was the birthday girl’s brother. Since then, we have had many long and interesting conversations, sometimes from opposite sides of the world.

Lars was diagnosed with MS over 20 years ago.

“When I was young I met one of my father’s friends. He had been diagnosed with MS. At that time,I thought that Multiple Sclerosis (MS) was the worst imagined diagnosis. I got the diagnosis myself when I was 40 years old. It eventually forced me into a wheelchair, which was one of the worst case scenarios in my head.”

But despite receiving the worst imagined diagnosis and ending up in a wheelchair, he has defied the worst. His incredible ability to withstand the diagnosis is unique. I had to talk to him about it. I also shared it on my blog. “Belief is essential” is the second part of the interview with Lars. Watch the first part of the interview “An unexpected turning point” here if you have yet to see it.

By the way, I have created a free four-week online course,

Calm Your Racing Mind

This course is about empowerment. And for me, the way there goes through the body’s wisdom. The course begins 23 February and takes just 1–2 hours per week, fully at your own pace.

  1. Reblogged this on People, Life, Politics And Bullshit and commented:

I recently discovered that Universal Music Group (UMG) has stepped in to block one of my videos on my youtube channel. Yes, I always use music in my videos. The music piece that I use is all bought on iTunes. In addition, I am very conscious of giving the musicians’ names and the songs’ names at the end of my videos.
I have submitted a complaint and have to wait patiently to see if Universal Music Group will meet my request and remove the blockage. The video is an interview with a close friend whom I admire.
My friend Lars was diagnosed with MS over 20 years ago but chose to live his life to the fullest.
And the reason I chose to reblog this post is that I admire Lars’ courage and faith. Lars’s way of handling life is a source of inspiration for me. And I hope that this video brings some inspiration to your life if you are in a difficult situation and that the first part of the interview will be available to the world again.
